Currently, she serves as the Administrative Director for Surgical Education at the University of California, Davis Health System in Sacramento, California.
During the podcast Dr. Braxton discusses her career journey and how earning a doctorate later in life has helped shape the work that she is doing. Dr. Braxton shares strategies for success and what pitfalls to look out for regarding personal and professional development. Dr. Braxton earned her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Behavior/Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration, Doctor of Theology and Ph.D. in Public Health with a focus on Community Health . Her dissertation topic was titled Health Care Provider Perceptions of High Blood Pressure Screening for Asymptomatic African American Teens. Her research passions include health disparities and adolescent health and wellness.
