Hello and welcome back to an extension of my Body Commentary podcast where I question the effects body commentary has on people and on society. In this episode (that I tried recording THREE (3) times - for reasons you will discover in the podcast or on Instagram) I talk about how body commentary permeates social media specifically on Instagram. I compare the areas of the recovery community to the pro-Ana (*shudder*) cults and then finally to the general Insta-influencer side. I ask; How does it present? How does this affect the receiver of this comment? How does this affect the giver of this comment? And overall how does it aid in endorsing diet culture and body-objectification?
