On April 19, 2013 during a custody dispute with her ex-husband Sandra Grazzini-Rucki abducted her own daughters.  944 days later they were located on November 18, 2015. living on a ranch in Northern Minnesota.  Four separate people ended up receiving criminal charges in the case, including the girls mother.

In September 2018, Michael Brodkorb and Allison Mann announced they would be releasing the book titled  “The Girls Are Gone”. During the past two years the authors (a paralegal for the fathers attorney, and a writer for a Minnesota news centre that was reporting on the case during trial.)  have uncovered new details about the disappearance of Samantha and Gianna Rucki and the adults that worked together to hide the sisters and the truth from everyone. The conducted many interviews to gather the complete story - including members of the Rucki family, and that included the daughters Samantha and Gianna.  The book was released October 23rd for all of us to dig right in.  I hope you will enjoy our discussion.
