Most people are afraid of what others might think or say if they showed up as their true authentic selves. Especially in a business context. That’s why so many of us are terrified of sharing our story authentically in public and struggle to make a lasting impact when introducing ourselves.

But what if you could effortlessly enroll and engage your audience every time you introduced yourself be it at work, on stage or even on a podcast?

To talk about this, I have a good friend of mine on the podcast, Mark Leruste. He was previously Country Manager of The Movember Foundation, he has an award winning podcast ‘The Unconventionalists’ and has an inspiring TEDx talk.

Mark is on a mission to eradicate career misery in the workplace for the next generation of leaders by helping organisations and those who lead them clarify their purpose to better lead and inspire their people, and share their story more powerfully so the world listens.   His book “Glow In The Dark” is a guide to learn how to raise your profile and impact the world with your story.

But why are stories important? I’ll be honest, I’m a bit of a skeptic when it comes to words like being your true, authentic self. What does this actually mean? I learnt a lot from Mark.
