On today's 'BradCast':  A new lawsuit against the Georgia Sec. of State and the State Election Board has been filed in federal court by election board members, individual voters, nonprofit organizations, and a journalist -- our own host, Brad Friedman.  MARILYN MARKS, founder and director of the Coalition for Good Governance, explains the new lawsuit that seeks to block a number of outrageous and dangerous provisions in the state GOP's new voter-suppression bill, in which Brad is a plaintiff due to the law's egregious and unconstitutional attack on press freedom. Some of the jaw-dropping provisions of the new GA voter suppression law have received broad coverage. But other shocking aspects of the bill are less well-known:   measures that trample on press freedom by making it unlawful to report on mail balloting discrepancies or security concerns; criminalize previously routine activities by poll workers, poll watchers, media observers, and even voters themselves; and allow the GOP-controlled state legislature to remove and replace bipartisan county election boards with a single partisan overseer.  Also today:  the GOP's packed and stolen U.S. Supreme Court will hear a new Mississippi law dismantling abortion rights. A former FL official and close friend of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of a minor, and will fully cooperate with federal prosecutors.  Israel's bombardment of Gaza City intentionally destroyed a building housing the Associated Press and other media outlets, meaning the world will know less about what is happening in Gaza - which, like the new voter suppression law in Georgia, is likely the point.
