On today's 'BradCast':  The Trump Administration has announced the White House's Coronavirus Task Force may be disbanded within the month, claiming the failed response was a success. Actual reality suggests otherwise – new data show that the rate of COVID-19 infections and deaths across the country are increasing, not decreasing, when NYC is removed from the statistics. Infection rates in rural areas have doubled, and the death rate has nearly tripled. Many of the worst outbreaks are developing in states where Republican Governors are lifting stay-at-home restrictions and business closures. Opening the country prematurely is likely to costs tens of thousands of lives, but President Trump today declared that it's more important to relax restrictions across the country even if it means "some people" will "be affected badly."  He's got re-election to worry about, after all! One of the nation's most troubling hotspots is in rural Gallup, NM (pop. 22,000), now in lockdown with the closure of all roads going into and out of town in order to slow down the spread of the virus. Gallup's Mayor Louis Bonaguidi explains why the extreme lockdown measures were deemed necessary, how the town is coping, and their ongoing efforts to address longstanding inequalities, such as the lack of running water in much of the nearby Navajo Nation making careful hygiene and sanitation virtually impossible for residents amid the pandemic. Also today: Trump really dislikes a new campaign ad from anti-Trump Republicans called "Mourning in America," highlighting his disastrous failed response to the coronavirus.  USDA finally moves to help farmers by buying surplus food to give to food banks, instead of destroying it, but not until July. Plus Desi Doyen has our latest 'Green News Report'...
