On today's 'BradCast':  Donald Trump and his Republican henchmen in Congress are trying to pretend the coronavirus crisis away. But as all 50 states relax various restrictions, demand remains low and unemployment continues to grow, with 2.4 million new jobless claims last week for a total of nearly 40 million Americans unemployed. Expanded unemployment benefits have prevented the U.S. economy from tanking completely. Economists warn that failing to extend expanded unemployment, set to expire in July, is likely kill the economy entirely. But Congressional Republicans say they will not extend those benefits, hoping to force workers back to their jobs where they could get infected and die. Trump and his GOP pals are attempting to hide or censor coronavirus infection and death rates – and trying to distract the country with shiny things like a new, wholly (and statutorily) unqualified Director of National Intelligence! Gutting a long-standing arms treaty with Russia! Blaming Obama! Satirist Randy Rainbow offers a new musical take on it all. Fox 'News' is cynically pushing Americans to get back to work even as Fox Corp quietly extends their work-from-home orders into June. New study shows a heart-breaking 36,000 fewer Americans would have died if the country had implemented stay-at-home restrictions just one week earlier in March. Each day that Trump and Republicans delayed resulted in the unnecessary loss of American lives. New study finds that Wisconsin GOP's decision to force voters to vote in person in the recent primary resulted in "statistically and economically significant" spread of COVID-19. Trump tries to convince the nation that the pandemic crisis is over by declaring: "The states are opening up. It's a transition to greatness!" -- but "greatness" may be just another word for mass murder. Plus Desi Doyen has our latest 'Green News Report'...
