On today's 'BradCast':  With the critical 2020 Presidential election only 160 days away, Republicans are launching desperate attempts to suppress certain voters, gaming the results of those who do manage to vote, and doing everything they can to distract from the fact that more than 100,000 Americans have died in three months thanks to Trump's disastrous, failed response to the coronavirus. Trump is playing both the victim and the strongman, pretending to be outraged that Twitter politely fact-checked two of his false claims about absentee voting, and threatening the company. Twitter is actually amplifying his disinformation, and Republicans are happy because it's helping to distract the corporate media from Trump's unspeakable failures as President.  (It should also be noted that Trump is a voter fraud criminal himself after voting from his business in Florida in violation of state law.)  Florida's Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis will appeal a ruling striking down the GOP state legislature's new poll tax law attempting to eviscerate a voter-approved state constitutional amendment restoring voting rights to most former felons. In Missouri, the GOP-controlled (and gerrymandered) state legislature is planning to gut a successful, voter-approved non-partisan redistricting initiative. FairVote Senior Fellow David Daley, who wrote the book on the GOP's successful plan to seize state legislatures to enact crippling partisan gerrymandered districts, explains Republicans' unprecedented new scheme to sabotage voter intent and voting rights in states around the country, by counting only voting age citizens for redistricting, in order to insidiously redistribute voting power from Democratic-leaning areas to white, Republican-leaning rural areas. While Dems are finally mobilizing to roll back extreme partisan gerrymandering from 2010, Daley argues they need to move immediately to counter the GOP's newest ugly war on voters...
