On today's 'BradCast':  Veteran military journalist Lucian Truscott, who has covered historic events from Watergate and the Stonewall uprising to every major U.S. war and beyond, explains what he calls the 'extraordinary' pushback from current and former high-ranking military officials against Donald Trump's plan to unleash the U.S. military to 'dominate' protesters demonstrating against the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis and police abuse everywhere.  Truscott says the protests and last week's military rebuke of Trump mark a turning point moment, which he believes also suggests the U.S. military is warning Trump against trying to somehow undermine this November's critical Presidential election. From his unique historical perspective, Truscott also discusses how today's civil rights demonstrations compare and contrast to previous periods of civil unrest, and his efforts, as a descendant of Thomas Jefferson, to integrate the descendants of former slave Sally Hemings (with whom Jefferson fathered six children) into the Monticello Association's annual reunions of those descended from the author of the Declaration of Independence and 3rd U.S. President.
