How did you know my heart was broken?

I had not told a soul.

I kept the pain hidden inside,

I hoped no one would know.

I looked inside and blamed myself.

What could I have done so wrong?

Could I have been too demanding?

Had we been together too long?

Perhaps I should not blame myself,

For why that love affair ended.
