The Need for Design & Speed

When we think of speed and the movement of horsepower and race vehicle designs on the track, history has proven that many can truly compete and dominate. From the early years of 1867, races were organized to prove time trials among man and machine, and ultimately progressed to competition with manufacturers, as specialist cars were designed for maximum speed. Throughout race history, from Sprint Cars to NASCAR, to IMSA, and the famed Monaco Grand Prix, this common mantra runs through the racing bloodline across the globe.

Porsche Life: The Racing Intensity & History of Bruce Canepa 

Among the storied history of race legends and designs, there exists a common pursuit of attention to detail and the drive for an impeccable approach to win. From the 2001 Truck Hill Climb of Pikes Peak record breaking run, to pairing up with motorsports icons Rick Mears and Monte Shelton at the 24 Hours of Daytona, then co-driving with Gianpiero Moretti in the famous MOMO team Porsche 935 at Daytona, Mid Ohio, and Riverside in 1980-81, Bruce closed out the 1980's successfully competing in his own Porsche 962 at West Coast IMSA events. In 1988, he purchased his first Porsche 959 and began development of the U.S. legal version.
