On Saturday, November 8, 2025, there will be a Day of Storytelling for the Tikahtnu Upper Cook Inlet as part of an effort to have our area designated as a National Heritage Area. At that event, more than fifty "storytellers from across the Anchorage-Tikahtnu Upper Cook Inlet area are coming together to reflect on who we’ve been, who we are now, and who we want to become. "
