The “Engine of Life” is a term I created as a capsule of several concepts in Buddhist teaching. These concepts of Energy, Formations, Form and Karma are interdependent and have changed and morphed over the lifespan of Shakyamuni’s teaching life. This is my attempt to coalesce these core concepts into the modern practice defined by Bodhisattva Nichiren of Shakyamuni’s intent.
