There's 2 ways we can go about opening our own salon, we can start from scratch and convert a space into a salon or we can buy an existing salon that someone is selling (or has failed) and build from there.

Both have pro's and con's. If the existing salon has a bad reputation it may be difficult and costly to educate a community that it's not the same salon.

If it's a new space then it may not be the right location for a salon for a number of different reasons; parking, passing trade, competition, etc...
