When our son Caden was diagnosed with scoliosis, my mama heart sank. I didn’t know what questions to ask, I didn’t know what the road ahead would look like, and honestly—I didn’t even know what signs I should have been paying attention to. I quickly learned I wasn’t alone. So many parents don’t realize what scoliosis looks like until a doctor points it out.
In this episode, I’m sharing Caden’s story—the appointments, the emotions, the prayers—and how God has met us as a family in the middle of the unknown. My hope is that by sharing our journey, another mama might feel more prepared, more aware, and less alone.
Here are some simple signs to watch for in your own kids:
One shoulder higher than the other
Uneven hips or one pant leg looking longer
Ribs that stick out more on one side when bending forward
Shirts or dresses that hang unevenly, even when they fit correctly
This isn’t to spark fear—it’s to give you tools. Mama, you know your child better than anyone. If something feels “off,” trust that nudge. Awareness can make all the difference, and early intervention matters.
Caden’s story is one of resilience, faith, and God’s steady hand guiding us through. If your child ever faces a diagnosis, I pray this episode reminds you that you are never walking it alone—God is with you, and He will give you the strength for each step.
