Week 1 of the Acts 8-week study– (Acts 1:1–11)

We are beginning Part 2 of the Rooted & Sent Bible study as we move from the Gospel into the book of Acts. In this episode, we explore Acts 1:1–11 and the moment when Jesus commissions His followers and promises the power of the Holy Spirit.

Before ascending to heaven, Jesus tells His disciples that they will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them and that they will be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. This moment launches the mission of the early church and reminds us that the work of Christ continues through His followers today.
