Rowan Sanderson sits down with Dr. Brendan Clarke, President of the Raw Feeding Veterinary Society (RFVS) to discuss whether dogs can eat vegan. They examine four issues that make this movement harmful in the long run, not only to your dogs, but to humans and the planet itself.

Firstly, you should not impose your ethos at the expense of your dog’s welfare. Secondly, it is very difficult to get adequate amounts of nutrients from a vegan diet. Thirdly, advances in technology has a dark side. Finally, a middle ground may or may not even be possible.

Can your dog eat vegan? Yes it can, but at the long-term expense of its health and, potentially, the planet, if this issue is not looked at in a holistic fashion.
