Despite the misconception, Undocumented immigrants (illegal aliens) in California can not receive food stamps nor full scope Medi-Cal. If a illegal alien marries a U.S. citizen and has children in the United States the citizens are eligible for food stamps if they qualify not the undocumented individual. Currently an undocumented person will receive restricted Medi-Cal if they apply and qualify unless they claim PRUCOL and submit a form MC13 to receive full scope medi-cal. As of 01/2024 all undocumented immigrants who apply and qualify will receive full scope Medi-Cal.
