Dr. Carole Timpone is the Associate Dean of Clinical Programs at Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon.  She served as the Director of the Pacific University Eye Clinic in Portland, Oregon, for over 15 years. She received Pacific’s President's Award for Excellence in Professional Education in 2004. She has served professional organizations in numerous roles, including Director of Education for the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, and Site Coordinator for the administration of Clinical Skills Examination of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.  She was the founding Chairperson of the University Faculty Senate,  and most recently, the founding director of the Pacific Interprofessional Diabetes Clinic.  Dr. Timpone was named a Distinguished University Professor at Pacific University.  She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Fellow of the National Academies of Practice. Her areas of interest, research, and expertise include ocular disease, glaucoma, and primary care optometry. Her bachelors degree is from Cornell University and her Doctor of Optometry degree is from the State University of NY.
