Let's shine a light on Cervical Cancer. The courageous and bubbly, Danielle O'Carroll joins me in today's episode sharing her experiences with Cervical Cancer.
Danielle O’Carroll is a 27-year-old Irish woman, living in Queensland Australia. She was born and raised in Ireland with her five siblings, Mum and Dad. Sadly, Danielle lost her Dad to a massive heart attack at only ten years old. Times were tough for a while and soon after, her Mum developed cancer of the neck. Danielle’s experience has molded her into the woman she is today.
After moving to Australia and successfully turning Ella Bache Mackay around in a financial downturn, Danielle went on to purchase and bring life back to Ella Bache Cairns. Just four weeks before the re-open she was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer (CIN3). Luckily, she had listened closely to her body, noticing signs that just weren’t quite right and insisting on further investigation. She had been fortunate enough to go straight to surgery to have the cancer removed. Since then, she has been undergoing regular testing and can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Danielle hopes that hearing her story can benefit other women and equip them with the knowledge they need to make their health their number one priority.
