John and Justin's travel and lifestyle program focuses on behind-the-scenes in the food and beverage industry in ski towns. They meet the chefs creating dishes unique to particular regions, the Australian snowies, both NSW and Victoria, Australia, Hakuba, Japan, the Powder Highway, Canada, Tahoe and Mammoth, USA and Verbier, Switzerland. With John's extensive experience in the restaurant industry we discuss the challenges, workload and realities of running a restaurant, phases of working in a kitchen during a snow season, tips for consideration for becoming a chef, mentality of a chef to be successful and where being a chef can take you as a career. JD's passion for creating a food, travel program stems from a lifetime of visiting and living in mountain towns and snow resorts, indulging in the full alpine lifestyle experience and wanting to translate that into food and snow obsessed stories.
