Checkers vs. Chess Part 1: Checkers

This is the first part in a two part checkers vs. chess mini-mini-series. Have you ever noticed that there are people who make easy things hard and hard things easy for no reason ? We sometimes get stuck playing the game the "right way" Only to realize that the pieces that we have attained don't necessarily belong in the game that we realize we were actually playing all along. We all fall victim to this but being aware of it can at least help to stop it as soon as you can.

Part one focuses on the issue of making things difficult as in a game of chess vs taking the simple steps(checkers) that are required.
