The season leading up to Christmas can be filled with so many good things. We add lights and decorations to our home. We add parties and cookie exchanges to our calendars. We add stockings and presents under our trees.

We add so many good things to this season, it can be easy to forget that what we really need — the only thing we really need — is Jesus.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas Eve, we will be reminded of the simple yet profound gift of hope, faith, joy, and peace in Jesus that we have been given.

Christ is with us.

It is the greatest gift and the only one we could ever need.
