Our special guest today, Charmaine Thane, is a fellow chronic illness warrior and meditation teacher. Like me, she is a hernia mesh survivor and has worked on raising awareness about the negative impacts of surgical approaches using hernia mesh. In 2021, after she suffered a heart event, and redirected her attention to the heart care world.
Her focus on alternative or natural therapies has led her down many paths and has led her deeply into meditation, which has helped her enormously. She plans to return to mediation teaching with some movement training as she continues working on her own recovery. She has recently written a series of
She has over 25 years of meditation practice and enjoys Qigong, yoga, singing/chanting mantra, art-painting and drawing as well as movement practices such as waling, swimming, weights, etc. She has extensively studied holistic meditation, Emotional freedom technique, various forms of meditation and yoga and Reiki, aromatherapy.
