Communion As The Goal Of Salvation

Listen Later

Episode 35: Communion as the Goal of Salvation

Series: Week 7 – Theosis / Participation (Transformation)

In this episode of The Encouraging Word, Pastor Eric reflects on the ultimate goal of salvation — communion with God. Eternal life is not merely endless existence, but shared life with the One who created us.

Salvation culminates not in legal standing, but in relationship. Not in distance removed, but in presence shared.

The purpose of redemption is that we might know God, live with God, and share in His life forever.

Scripture:

John 17:3

Series Focus:

Theosis teaches that the final aim of salvation is communion with God — life shared in relationship with Him.

Music:

Bumper music: “Mercy Flows” (original instrumental composition, 2006)

Encouraging Word for Today:

The end of salvation is not simply forgiveness — it is life with God.

Reflection Prompt:

How might your life change if communion with God became your deepest desire?
