While most of the general populace assumes that confidence is a rent/lease/sublet type of situation, they are sorely mistaken. Confidence is yours and only yours. It does not depend upon others, nor does it need anyone's permission to exist and thrive. The next time you're considering making a self-deprecating joke or about to mock an aspect of yourself, please, as a favor to us: hold that thought.
