This is one of my favorite episodes to date. I connected with Dr. Ellen Vora on an amazing level. She really got me and communicated about mental health in a way that strongly resonated. Ellen Vora, MD, is a holistic psychiatrist, acupuncturist, and yoga teacher. She takes a functional medicine approach to mental health—considering the whole person and addressing imbalance at the root. We hit some GREAT topics, including the meanings of "false" and "true" anxiety, tips for coping with these anxieties, considering mental illnesses as symptoms vs. diagnoses, and how to listen to your body. Plus, I shared more insight into my fertility/pregnancy anxieties - her response was just what I needed. Dr. Vora received her B.A. from Yale University and her M.D. from Columbia University, and she is board-certified in psychiatry and integrative holistic medicine. She is the author of The Anatomy of Anxiety: Understanding and Overcoming the Body's Fear Response.       This episode is brought to you by WHOOP, Munk Pack and Macy's.   WHOOP isn’t just another fitness wearable - it’s designed to provide personalized and actionable data based on your body.
