Coronavirus Deaths Rise In Florida, Arizona and Texas

The United States passes three million coronavirus cases and nears 132,000 deaths. The virus is surging in 35 states. Deaths rise in Florida, Arizona and Texas. Seven states have record hospitalizations. The California governor says that state hospitalization rate is up 44 percent in over two weeks. Miami schools might stay closed despite the state's mandate. The United States reported a record of more than 60,000 new coronavirus cases recently. At least 3,200 coronavirus deaths have occurred in Maryland with more than 70,000 cases.

Birx says states with surges should roll back reopening. Pence says that national coronavirus hot spots have enough hospital capacity and personal prot3ective equipment. 

The White House won't say whether Trump has confidence in Fauci. Trump threatens to "cut off funding" if schools don't reopen in the fall. Pence says the CDC will issue a new school reopening guidance after Trump complains it's too "tough." The White House is pushing schools to open as the United States surpasses three million coronavirus cases. The CDC director says that their guidelines should not be used as "rationale" to keep schools closed. White House officials say that Trump and the CDC are "very much" on the same page.
