This connection led Zimmerman to move from his home in Corbin, Kentucky, to Columbus, Ohio, to live with Buzzard and her husband. During this time, Buzzard was also involved in a relationship with Naira Whitaker, who later became her wife.The Crime:On September 25, 2015, while Buzzard's husband was away, she and Whitaker executed a plan to kill Zimmerman. Buzzard strangled Zimmerman in their apartment, and together with Whitaker, they dismembered his body in the bathtub.
