What's Cup of JD about?

Bio

JD Provorse was born and mostly raised in Jamestown, ND, with a couple of years in Mott, ND, under his belt as a youth. He got his education in media and broadcasting in Minnesota, both at Minnesota State University - Moorhead, and Brown College in Mendota Heights.

Upon graduating, JD returned home to Jamestown to spend the first four years of his broadcasting career in the town that he came up in, spending most of his time on KSJB 600 AM and KSJZ 93.3 FM. In 2007, JD relocated to Fargo and spent the next several years working for KPFX 107.9 FM as an evening and weekend utility player. Somewhere in there JD decided that he was going to try his hand at stand-up comedy, which ultimately lead to him leaving the broadcasting world behind to pursue this new passion. JD has spent nearly a decade traveling across the midwest, performing hundreds of shows in ten states. But now he is ready to bring everything full circle, putting his entertaining and broadcasting experience together in the 21st century podcasting world.

Everyone who has even a passing acquaintance with JD will know him to be an opinionated, outspoken guy who isn’t afraid to get a little loud and obnoxious in passionate defense of his positions, but also someone who will genuinely listen to what other people have to say. He can even be somewhat entertaining, despite what those people in Dekalb, IL, thought of his jokes.
