Cynthia Weil is an award-winning songwriter who was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. She is the first woman to receive the Johnny Mercer Award and she was the first woman to receive Ahmet Ertegun Award. She strategically shaped the sound of rock and roll in the 1970s.
