Daredevil 308 Review "Upstairs/Downstairs" Spoiler filled Synopsis

Directed by Alex Zakrzewski

Written by Dara Resnik

A desperate Dex (Wilson Bethel) reaches out for help as he tries to re-orientate himself to his North Star, Julie Barnes (Holly Cinnamon), following the Bulletin incident. He reconnects with Julie who appears to want to help and he engages with the soothing power of housework.

Meanwhile, believing that they are a step ahead of Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) concoct a plan to go after him through a public airing and article in the Bulletin that Fisk has broken the terms of his release from prison; but Karen has another side plan as  she directly provokes Fisk about the information she learnt from his mother and the death of James Wesley.

Elsewhere, the loop has begun to close around Ben Poindexter as Special Agent Ray Nadeem (Jay Ali) realises that his colleague is the Bulletin attacker. With an uneasy alliance forming between Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Nadeem they search for proof at Dex’s apartment, but are interrupted by Dex as he returns home. While they find no proof that he was the attacker (his apartment was sparkling) Nadeem and Murdock learn of his therapy session for his psychopathic tendencies and are subject to his very special skill set as they escape from his apartment.

Following this break in, Dex’s life begins to spin out of control, with no family, no job, no friends, and a murdered Julie not answering his pleas for help he turns to his new North Star - Wilson Fisk. Meanwhile, in a Catholic orphanage in Hell’s Kitchen another new revelation has pierced the walls of the convent, one that only Matt Murdock can hear.
