4293 David Gordon: The Molyneux Problem - Rebutted!

02.01.2019 - By Freedomain Radio with Stefan Molyneux

EPISODE DESCRIPTION

Stefan Molyneux, Host of Freedomain Radio - the largest and most popular philosophy show in the world - responds to David Gordon's critique of his book "Universally Preferable Behaviour.""Stefan Molyneux is a popular libertarian broadcaster who has in recent years acquired a considerable following. In Universally Preferable Behavior, he takes on an ambitious task. He endeavors to provide a rational basis for morality. Should he succeed, he would not only have achieved something of monumental importance; he would also have rendered a great service to libertarianism. Molyneux's system of morality has resolutely libertarian implications. If he is right, surely a time for rejoicing is at hand."It would be cruel to arouse false expectations, so I had better say at once that Molyneux does not succeed in his noble goal. He fails, and fails miserably. His arguments are often preposterously bad.David Gordon is a senior fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute. He was educated at UCLA, where he earned his PhD in intellectual history. He is the author of Resurrecting Marx: The Analytical Marxists on Exploitation, Freedom, and Justice, The Philosophical Origins of Austrian Economics,An Introduction to Economic Reasoning, and Critics of Marx. He is also editor of Secession, State, and Liberty and co-editor of H.B. Acton'sMorals of Markets and Other Essays.Dr. Gordon is the editor of The Mises Review, and a contributor to such journals as analysis, The International Philosophic Quarterly, The Journal of Libertarian Studies, and The Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics.▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4367 Freedomain: The Abortion Debate - and Ask Me Anything!

- I've never understood how abortion pre-sentience could be considered immoral if the entity not only can't know of its own existence, but can NEVER know, and thus can't be an injured party. Is it just to punish use of Plan B?- Does 100% knowing any future event = determinism?- A society based in UPB seems unimplementable. But if it did come to be, wouldn't this society just become a breeding ground for a "might makes right" tyrant?- Is the foetus, if not able survive outside the mom, a part of the mom's body and thus her property? If it's able to survive, then it's murder. ♥️uStef- 8 Year relationship. I Didn't marriage/family until now (turned 30).Is it wrong to change my mind & convince him into marriage & a family? I emailed u- The point of the rape argument isn't to judge its frequency so much as to align people's moral compasses. Same with the "mercy killing" argument, like how Iceland aborts all Down Syndrome babies.- Haunting you for a conversation on "Long Day's Journey into Night". *spooky ghost sounds* (We debated magic & madness and discussed plays last year. )- for pro lifers, if you your sister, mother, wife etc was r@ped do you have them carry on with the baby?- view on third cousins pregnancy and abortion, asking for a friend of a friend.- You would make Socrates blush! Would love a show on the “The unconquered” Seminole peoples! The treachery of the legal system is never better displayed than in our histories! Bless you Stefan!- Does omniscience contradict free will?- Off topic: What tips do you have on maintaining focus when writing?- From someone who grew up similar to you in a household where the one quickest to anger and violence was in charge how do I let go of anger.

4366 How To Save Australia!

Stefan Molyneux, Host of Freedomain, takes you on a journey across the political hellscape of Australia, and shows the way out of the quagmire for Oz!Australia has 2 houses in Parliament: the Lower House (House of Representatives) and the Upper House (Senate).Liberals (Conservative) Currently the party in power, the Liberals have traditionally been the party of lower taxes, less regulation and more free markets. Very supportive of small to medium business. Cynically seen by some as the party of big business.National Party (the Nats)Founded in 1920 and called the country party for many years, the “Nats” have traditionally been the party for rural regional areas. The Nationals form coalitions with the Liberals; under a Liberal prime minister, the deputy PM is the “Nats” leader. Recently the Nationals support has declined, as many people see them as little more than a lapdog for the Liberals. The coalition between the Liberals and Nationals is called the Liberal National Party (LNP).Labor (the left)Founded in the 1890s, and basically the political arm of the union movement. Although often described as a socialist democratic party, Labor has for many years supported causes like fair conditions for workers, increased wages and ending conscription, amongst others. Despite a significant fall in union membership in the workforce over the years, at least 3 quarters of Labor politicians are ex union members/leaders, and the party has drifted further left while at the same time embracing identity politics. The GreensStarting in 1972 originally on a platform of protecting the environment the Greens are basically the party for “loonies, tree huggers, dole bludgers and any other blight on society you can think of.”They have a very socialist agenda and are not afraid to show it. Despite this, support for them has grown, especially as climate change and identity politics have taken centre stage. For a long time, Australia was used to stable governments, regardless of which side was in power.Until late 2007, the Liberals under John Howard had been in power for over 11 years. Before that, Labor under Bob Hawke and later Paul Keating were in power for 13 years. What has happened since could make Australia the laughing-stock of the world.Nov 2007: Kevin Rudd (Labor) replaces John Howard as PM in a landslide election. Rudd is seen as “new generation” (he was the first Australian politician to capitalise on the millennial vote through social media) and enjoys record support and fawning media coverage for the next 2 years. This changes with the Liberals electing Tony Abbot as leader in late 2009. His no-nonsense style (for example calling climate change “absolute crap”) quickly energises the conservative vote.June 2010: Support for Rudd declines over a backflip in climate change policy, so he is dumped as leader and replaced by Julia Gillard.Although unprecedented in Australian politics, this soon becomes normal practice. Gillard almost immediately announces an election.▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4365 The Truth About Vice-Admiral Mark Norman

Why was Vice Admiral Mark Norman prosecuted for so long? Was there political interference from the government of Justin Trudeau? Why did the case against the second-in-command of Canada's military fall apart so suddenly?Stefan Molyneux of Freedomain Radio takes you on a deep journey into the causes and shocking facts of this sordid case...The Truth About the Justin Trudeau Scandal: https://youtu.be/b03LHkj0wXs"Incompetence is not unknown in official Ottawa, but the case of Vice-Admiral Mark Norman is something else again. That the country’s most senior naval officer could be treated so badly over so long a period by so many levels of authority, over an allegation that, in the end, didn’t amount to a hill of beans, has to leave even the most blasé Canadian wondering who’s in charge in the country’s capital. The Marx Brothers?"To keep Norman dangling for so long — his life, career and reputation all at stake — required an extended display of amateur-hour tomfoolery on the part of people at the topmost levels in several wings of the federal administration. The RCMP didn’t bother to interview either the accused or any of the political masters who set the policy he followed at the time of the alleged actions. Far from ensuring he was treated fairly and respectfully, his bosses at military headquarters couldn’t wash their hands of him fast enough. The same politicians who brought us the SNC-Lavalin debacle stonewalled efforts to obtain critical documents requested by the defence. Now everyone involved is invoking standard excuses for refusing to explain, justify or otherwise account for the shoddiness of their performance."Would anyone out there feel safe falling within the sights of this crowd of klutzes? As far as I know I have no secrets worthy of interest to our federal leaders, but I sure wouldn’t feel safe should someone level some spurious accusation of wrongdoing against me. It took more than two years from the time Norman was relieved of duty for prosecutors to admit they had no hope of conviction. Who has the money or resources to outwait this crowd, as he was forced to do?"▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4363 "My Stepbrother Shot Me - How Do I Move On?" Freedomain Call In

Audio: https://soundcloud.com/stefan-molyneux/fdr-4363-my-stepbrother-shot-me-how-do-i-move-on-freedomain-call-in"Hello, My name is [X] I am 20 years old and I would love to talk to Stef about a few different things.I have often wondered when does personal responsibility and having a bad childhood meet? At what point do we put the blame on that individual and not there upbringing? Is there a point or is your life strongly determined by those early years and you will forever be a "victim" to your early years? This question I have often pondered because I look at my own life and the bad childhood. I was molested by boys and girls in my neighborhoods at a very young age and those things continued until I was 11, I was exposed to pornography very young, my mother died when I was 8, my ex step moms neglected me heavily and at times hit me, their kids did similar things to me growing up, my father abandoned me for a time to my horrible ex step moms after my mom died, and it goes on. These things have shaped me to who I am but I don't see myself as a victim. I'm a guy who is married to his best friend and high school sweetheart with a great job with greater opportunities coming. I have a great social circle with the best friend, but even before those things I felt I have built a resiliency or tolerance for bad things which has made me stronger.Maybe it comes from my religious views, views on the world, and also I think it is probably strongly influenced by people like Stef whom have become such a positive influence in my life over the years. I don't feel like I'm gifted in anyway I just work hard and try to live my lifewithin a set of values. The reason I say this is because I listen to countless people who call in that have experienced absolutely horrific childhoods. Those childhood experiences obviously have greatly affected their current place in life. My question is I guess simply, when do we tell someone "you had a bad childhood that's why you may be where you are now so lets fix it" vs "it doesn't matter your childhood, pick yourself up and take responsibility for your life". All I can compare this too ismyself and my own terrible childhood and where I am now which is the best place I have been in my life.I would just love to talk to Stef about this as he has greatly influenced my life and this is a question I have often wondered while listening to him. Thanks in advance, looking forward to a response!"▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4361 "My Wife Wanted Kids, Now She Wants an Abortion!" Freedomain Call In

A desperate Freedomain Radio listener needs an emergency call because his wife - who said she wanted kids before she got married - now wants an abortion!Audio: https://soundcloud.com/stefan-molyneux/my-wife-wanted-kids-now-she-wants-an-abortion-freedomain-call-in"Hey Stef,How are things? How about that title as clickbait? I wish it were fake news, but it is not. Was curious if you might be able to give some philosophy on this life topic whether we talk or not. I know we chatted last year, and boy, have some things changed. Short version: Wife found out she was pregnant in December last year and she has been instantly against it. Wanted an abortion and didn’t want to tell anyone. I said NO. She has been very upset since then. We have been to therapy on this, but she is not open minded to being a mother. She has threatened divorce and doesn’t want anything to do with the child. I’ve been scouring the internet and talking with friends and I have not found any anecdotes of this situation. All of the stories I have found are the male/female situations reversed (I.e. woman gets pregnant, wants to keep baby, and boyfriend wants to pay for abortion). I’ve been trying to talk and/or craft a plan to do the best in this situation, and I’m struggling. Have you or have you had any callers that have heard of this? It’s boggling my mind. Appreciate if you want to talk. Thanks for your work!"▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4360 What Pisses Me Off About the Colorado School Shooting

"One student is dead and at least seven students have been injured in a shooting at a Colorado school on Tuesday, according to authorities. "The deceased male, who has not been identified, was 18 years old. "Two suspects are in custody, Douglas County Undersheriff Holly Nicholson Kluth told reporters during a press conference. Emergency dispatchers received reports that shots were fired at the STEM School in Highlands Ranch just before 2 p.m., according to a tweet by the sheriff's office. "Investigators believe one of the suspects is an adult and the other is a juvenile, and they are both students at the school, Douglas County Sheriff Anthony Spurlock told reporters. They were not previously under the "radar" of law enforcement, Spurlock said, adding that he would not be releasing their identities.""Authorities have identified one of the two suspects in a shooting Tuesday at a public charter school in Colorado just eight miles from Columbine High School."Devon Erickson, 18, has been held in the attack at STEM School Highlands Ranch in which seven students were injured and one killed, reported 9News, the Denver NBC news outlet. Both Mr. Erickson and the other suspect were students at STEM School.“We do not have any other suspects, we have all the people who were involved,” Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock told reporters earlier in the day.Neither Mr. Erickson nor his purported accomplice had previous criminal records or contact with the police as, for example, Parkland, Florida, shooter Nikolas Cruz did.“We did not have them on any radar that we know of,” Sheriff Spurlock said."According to News9, Mr. Erickson got a ticket for careless driving last year in Douglas County, but has no other criminal record."The TV station reported that a home owned by James and Stephanie Erickson was being cordoned off with yellow police tape and searched Tuesday evening."Mr. Erickson had said on social media, according to a report in Heavy.com, that he hated Christians for their teaching on homosexuality and his accounts suggested he was not a fan of President Trump."▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4359 “I NEED MY HUSBAND TO BE ASSERTIVE SO WE CAN HAVE BABIES!” Freedomain Call In

"My name is [X], and I am 28 years old. My husband and I got married when I was 21. I have been a homemaker for the past almost 4 years, and my husband and I both really enjoy and appreciate a more traditional approach to our marriage relationship, as well as outlook on life... except for one vital area on my behalf - I can’t seem to bring myself to want children."I understand fundamentally and philosophically the importance of building a family, particularly a strong nuclear family, and I also really enjoy looking into traditional family structures and studying the best methods of raising children, etc. (with influence from your show as well of course). I want to will myself to desire children, but I just can’t. The fear of having them and all it entails scares me to the point of having not taken that step with my husband, despite being married 7 years and being in my late 20s, and with that knowing the clock is ticking. I have some surface level reasonings I believe are at play for this, having not had good parenting while growing up and that stemming into issues within myself, but I believe it would be beneficial to examine in depth why this is something I struggle with so deeply."My husband is a very solid man and supportive of me, including in this area, but I know he truly would want to build a family, and I feel guilt over not giving that to him. This is a turmoil I have felt for years (with zero pressure from him, this is just internal), and there has been a time or two I tearfully told him that because I know he desires that deep down and I feel should have it, that he should seek someone who will give that to him. This is something we have had to work through, as that is something he would never do and says that me and our relationship is more important to him than the outcome of whether we have a family or not. I understand this, but at the same time still feel this weight of not providing that to him when it’s something I feel he truly should have. "Moreover with this, I want to be able to explore why this is a struggle I have, to gain clarity on it, and I feel you are the person who can help with that. I love watching all of your shows."Thanks for your time and consideration."▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. Where do your views diverge with Ayn Rand?My problem with calling social media a right is eventually you get the blowback of "bake the cake" where private forums cant have in-group preference.I've talked to pro-vaccine advocates. Their argument for why such a large cluster of vaccines is okay is because children are exposed to thousands of pathogens throughout their life, and the cluster is a drop in a bucket.Would you debate Scott Adams & Sam Harris on free will? I wrote an article called "The Origins of Morality" explaining ethics in pure will to power. My friend got tinder gf pregnant! All of us but him saw red flags. She is far leftist! What should he do!Hello Stefan, can you please give us your insight on Julius Evola and his ideas as a philosopher. Would you ever make a video on Evola? Thank you very much.If the principle is free speech, shouldn't yelling fire in a crowd/inciting violence be protected? the idea originated in 1919 to stop a men speaking out against the draft? we need to push principle.I often hear about utility functions in AI development. 4352 The Truth About Plato

YOU WILL NEVER SEE HIM THE SAME WAY AGAIN!The Truth About Aristotle: https://youtu.be/RF6044hZ0i8The Trial and Death of Socrates: https://youtu.be/6x4ovVx4YQkPlato (429?–347 BC) – was preceded by Socrates, and succeeded by Aristotle. Both a philosophical and a literary genius – we only have lecture notes from Aristotle, though he was also thought a great writer. The literary beauty of Plato’s “Dialogues” has had great influence – most of what we know about Socrates (who wrote nothing) we get from Plato – The Trial and Death of Socrates.Plato was an Athenian citizen of high status, consumed with the politics of his time – but he extrapolated from his time to all time.Plato ranks at the highest level, along with Aristotle, Kant and Aquinas. It has been said that, deep down, every person is either a Platonist or an Aristotelian…“Platonism” is fundamentally about the challenge of concept formation – what is the source of our universal abstractions? For Aristotle, they come from repeated exposure to matter and energy – for Plato, abstractions come from the realm of “Forms.”Platonism: the empiricism of what Aristotle would call “unreality.”Plato is likely the first philosopher whose complete works are still available to the world.Unlike his student Aristotle, Plato did not write systematic treatises, but instead penned a number of dialogues (about 35, although the authenticity of at least some of these is doubtful). These conversations allowed Plato to most vividly show the Socratic method of question and answer.Plato’s characters discussed almost every aspect of philosophy:Ethics (the nature of virtue)Metaphysics (reality, immortality, man, mind, and nature) Political Philosophy (censorship, power and the ideal state)Religiosity/Theology (Atheism, Dualism and Pantheism), Epistemology (the study of knowledge, a priori knowledge and Rationalism)Mathematics, aesthetics and art theories(dance, music, poetry, architecture and drama).Plato himself does not show up in any of his dialogues as a character – therefore he does not declare that anything in the conversations necessarily conform to his own views.Plato’s characters are generally historical – Socrates is usually the protagonist (particularly in the early dialogues). Plato’s dialogues did slowly improve the bad image of Socrates after his execution. The enormity of Plato's influence was recorded by Diogenes Laertius who wrote:“He was the first author who wrote treatises in the form of dialogues, as Favorinus tells us in the eighth book of his Universal History. And he was also the first person who introduced the analytical method of investigation, which he taught to Leodamus of Thasos. He was also the first person in philosophy who spoke of antipodes, and elements, and dialectics, and actions (poiêmata) and oblong numbers, and plane surfaces, and the providence of God. He was likewise the first of the philosophers who contradicted the assertion of Lysias, the son of Cephalus, setting it out word for word in his Phaedrus. And he was also the first person who examined the subject of grammatical knowledge scientifically. (Lives, XIX).”The 20th century philosopher Alfred North Whitehead stated: "The safest general characterization of the European philosophical tradition is that it consists of a series of footnotes to Plato.“Professor Forrest E. Baird writes, "There are few books in Western civilization that have had the impact of Plato's Republic - aside from the Bible, perhaps none."The Dialogues of Plato focus on the pursuit of Truth and the understanding of what is Good.Plato’s dialogues argue that there is one universal Truth which humanity needs to learn and strive to live in harmony with.Concept formation – see my presentation on Aristotle.▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. Where is the outrage as 2 dead black men are found at the home of Ed Buck, prominent donor to the Democrats?Get "Gorilla Mindset" - https://amzn.to/2Xyw7cr"A dead man was found early Monday in the Los Angeles-area apartment of the Democratic fundraiser Ed Buck, authorities said — the second time a body has been discovered in his home in the last year and a half."The dead man, whose identity wasn't disclosed, was found at 1:05 a.m. (4:05 a.m. ET) in Buck's apartment in West Hollywood after someone called 911, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Charles Moore, who said that while the Homicide Bureau was investigating, the cause of death remained unknown."Federal election records show that Buck, 63, who has advocated for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues for decades, has donated more than $53,000 to Democratic candidates and to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee since 2008."In July 2017, authorities cleared Buck in the death of Gemelle Moore, 26, a gay male escort whose body was found in the same apartment after investigators declared his death to have been the result of an accidental overdose of crystal methamphetamine."▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4342 Attorney General Barr: Spying "Did Occur" Posobiec/Molyneux

Attorney General William Barr told lawmakers today that he will be looking to the "genesis" of the the FBI's counterintelligence investigation into the "Russia/Trump" conspiracy theory, saying, "I think spying on a political campaign is a big deal.""In the context of a morning news report Barr was assembling a team to investigate the origins of the investigation into possible Russian interference in the 2016 election, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen asked Barr, during his testimony before a Senate committee, “Why you felt the need to form that kind of a team and what you intend to be the scope of their investigation?”"Barr dodged, noting he had said during his confirmation hearing he would review the “genesis and conduct” of intel work directed at Trump’s campaign."When Shaheen persisted, Barr acknowledged he had no actual evidence, but had “concerns.”"Barr acknowledged a lot has already been investigated, by the inspector general at the department.“I’m not suggesting those rules were violated but it is important to look at that,” Barr insisted.“So you’re not suggesting spying occurred?” Shaheen pressed.“I think spying did occur,” Barr replied▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4341 Are We Getting Dumber? Dr Michael A. Woodley and Stefan Molyneux

Get the book! https://amzn.to/2G9CqxdAt Our Wits' End: Why We're Becoming Less Intelligent and What it Means for the Future (Societas)Rebuttal to conference criticisms:https://www.researchgate.net/publication/326452887_Communicating_intelligence_research_Media_misrepresentation_the_Gould_Effect_and_unexpected_forces"We are becoming less intelligent. This is the shocking yet fascinating message of At Our Wits' End. The authors take us on a journey through the growing body of evidence that we are significantly less intelligent now than we were a hundred years ago. The research proving this is, at once, profoundly thought-provoking, highly controversial, and it’s currently only read by academics. But the authors are passionate that it cannot remain ensconced in the ivory tower any longer. With At Our Wits’ End, they present the first ever popular scientific book on this crucially important issue. They prove that intelligence — which is strongly genetic — was increasing up until the breakthrough of the Industrial Revolution, because we were subject to the rigors of Darwinian Selection, meaning that lots of surviving children was the preserve of the cleverest. But since then, they show, intelligence has gone into rapid decline, because large families are increasingly the preserve of the least intelligent. The book explores how this change has occurred and, crucially, what its consequences will be for the future. Can we find a way of reversing the decline of our IQ? Or will we witness the collapse of civilization and the rise of a new Dark Age?"Dr. Woodley's Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/mawoodleyofmenieSubscribeStar: https://www.subscribestar.com/michael-a-woodley-of-menieYouTube channel (co-run with Dr. Ed Dutton): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMRs0Ml8RF0cWVAOeQeBxTwDr. Woodley's videos as released via the 'Technical Heretic' sub-channel.▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4333 The Truth About "A Streetcar Named Desire" Dr Duke Pesta and Stefan Molyneux

SPOILERS!"A Streetcar Named Desire" is the most famous and influential play of the last 100 years - written by Tennessee Williams, this masterpiece details the elemental conflicts between Blanche DuBois and Stanley Kowalski...Dr Pesta's site: www.fpeusa.com"Blanche DuBois, a schoolteacher from Laurel, Mississippi, arrives at the New Orleans apartment of her sister, Stella Kowalski. Despite the fact that Blanche seems to have fallen out of close contact with Stella, she intends to stay at Stella’s apartment for an unspecified but likely lengthy period of time, given the large trunk she has with her. Blanche tells Stella that she lost Belle Reve, their ancestral home, following the death of all their remaining relatives. She also mentions that she has been given a leave of absence from her teaching position because of her bad nerves."Though Blanche does not seem to have enough money to afford a hotel, she is disdainful of the cramped quarters of the Kowalskis’ two-room apartment and of the apartment’s location in a noisy, diverse, working-class neighborhood. Blanche’s social condescension wins her the instant dislike of Stella’s husband, an auto-parts supply man of Polish descent named Stanley Kowalski. It is clear that Stella was happy to leave behind her the social pretensions of her background in exchange for the sexual gratification she gets from her husband; she even is pregnant with his baby. Stanley immediately distrusts Blanche to the extent that he suspects her of having cheated Stella out of her share of the family inheritance. In the process of defending herself to Stanley, Blanche reveals that Belle Reve was lost due to a foreclosed mortgage, a disclosure that signifies the dire nature of Blanche’s financial circumstances. Blanche’s heavy drinking, which she attempts to conceal from her sister and brother-in-law, is another sign that all is not well with Blanche."The unhappiness that accompanies the animal magnetism of Stella and Stanley’s marriage reveals itself when Stanley hosts a drunken poker game with his male friends at the apartment. Blanche gets under Stanley’s skin, especially when she starts to win the affections of his close friend Mitch. After Mitch has been absent for a while, speaking with Blanche in the bedroom, Stanley erupts, storms into the bedroom, and throws the radio out of the window. When Stella yells at Stanley and defends Blanche, Stanley beats her. The men pull him off, the poker game breaks up, and Blanche and Stella escape to their upstairs neighbor Eunice’s apartment. A short while later, Stanley is remorseful and cries up to Stella to forgive him. To Blanche’s alarm, Stella returns to Stanley and embraces him passionately. Mitch meets Blanche outside of the Kowalski flat and comforts her in her distress. The next day, Blanche tries to convince Stella to leave Stanley for a better man whose social status equals Stella’s. Blanche suggests that she and Stella contact a millionaire named Shep Huntleigh for help escaping from New Orleans; when Stella laughs at her, Blanche reveals that she is completely broke. Stanley walks in as Blanche is making fun of him and secretly overhears Blanche and Stella’s conversation. Later, he threatens Blanche with hints that he has heard rumors of her disreputable past. She is visibly dismayed..."▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4331 The Red Thread: A Search for Ideological Drivers Inside the Anti-Trump Conspiracy - West/Molyneux

Get the book: https://amzn.to/2Wz47ENThe first investigation into why a ring of senior Washington officials went rogue to derail the election and the presidency of Donald Trump. There was nothing normal about the 2016 presidential election, not when senior U.S. officials were turning the surveillance powers of the federal government -- designed to stop terrorist attacks -- against the Republican presidential team. These were the ruthless tactics of a Soviet-style police state, not a democratic republic. The Red Thread asks the simple question: Why? What is it that motivated these anti-Trump conspirators from inside and around the Obama administration and Clinton networks to depart so drastically from “politics as usual” to participate in a seditious effort to overturn an election? Finding clues in an array of sources, Diana West uses her trademark investigative skills, honed in her dazzling work, American Betrayal, to construct a fascinating series of ideological profiles of well-known but little understood anti-Trump actors, from James Comey to Christopher Steele to Nellie Ohr, and the rest of the Fusion GPS team; from John Brennan to the numerous Clintonistas still patrolling the Washington Swamp after all these years, and more. Once, we knew these officials by august titles and reputation; after The Red Thread, readers will recognize their multi-generational and inter-connecting communist and socialist pedigrees, and see them for what they really are: foot-soldiers of the Left, deployed to take down America’s first “America First” and most anti-Communist president. If we just give it a pull, the “red thread” is very long and very deep.▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you. 4325 Jeffrey Epstein Revealed! Mike Cernovich and Stefan Molyneux

"...Palm Beach multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, 54, was accused of assembling a large, cult-like network of underage girls — with the help of young female recruiters — to coerce into having sex acts behind the walls of his opulent waterfront mansion as often as three times a day, the Town of Palm Beach police found."Not only would Epstein serve just 13 months in the county jail, but the deal — called a non-prosecution agreement — essentially shut down an ongoing FBI probe into whether there were more victims and other powerful people who took part in Epstein’s sex crimes, according to a Miami Herald examination of thousands of emails, court documents and FBI records."The pact required Epstein to plead guilty to two prostitution charges in state court. Epstein and four of his accomplices named in the agreement received immunity from all federal criminal charges. But even more unusual, the deal included wording that granted immunity to “any potential co-conspirators’’ who were also involved in Epstein’s crimes. These accomplices or participants were not identified in the agreement, leaving it open to interpretation whether it possibly referred to other influential people who were having sex with underage girls at Epstein’s various homes or on his plane."As part of the arrangement, Acosta agreed, despite a federal law to the contrary, that the deal would be kept from the victims. As a result, the non-prosecution agreement was sealed until after it was approved by the judge, thereby averting any chance that the girls — or anyone else — might show up in court and try to derail it."This is the story of how Epstein, bolstered by unlimited funds and represented by a powerhouse legal team, was able to manipulate the criminal justice system, and how his accusers, still traumatized by their pasts, believe they were betrayed by the very prosecutors who pledged to protect them."But court records reveal details of the negotiations and the role that Acosta would play in arranging the deal, which scuttled the federal probe into a possible international sex trafficking operation“This was not a ‘he said, she said’ situation. This was 50-something ‘shes’ and one ‘he’ — and the ‘shes’ all basically told the same story,’’ said retired Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter, who supervised the police probe."More than a decade later, at a time when Olympic gymnasts and Hollywood actresses have become a catalyst for a cultural reckoning about sexual abuse, Epstein’s victims have all but been forgotten."The Herald also identified about 80 women who say they were molested or otherwise sexually abused by Epstein from 2001 to 2006. About 60 of them were located — now scattered around the country and abroad. Eight of them agreed to be interviewed, on or off the record. Four of them were willing to speak on video."The women are now mothers, wives, nurses, bartenders, Realtors, hairdressers and teachers. One is a Hollywood actress. Several have grappled with trauma, depression and addiction. Some have served time in prison."Despite substantial physical evidence and multiple witnesses backing up the girls’ stories, the secret deal allowed Epstein to enter guilty pleas to two felony prostitution charges. Epstein admitted to committing only one offense against one underage girl, who was labeled a prostitute, even though she was 14, which is well under the age of consent — 18 in Florida.▶️ Donate Now: http://www.freedomainradio.com/donate▶️ Sign Up For Our Newsletter: http://www.fdrurl.com/newsletterYour support is essential to Freedomain Radio, which is 100% funded by viewers like you.
