Now at halfway through spring practices for Arizona State Sun Devils football, we've come to know this team pretty well and how things seem to operate. However, a wrench was thrown into everything when assistant coach Ra'Shaad Samples took a new job with the Oregon Ducks football program. The loss of Samples was a tough blow and all eyes were set on today's practice to see how everybody adapted to life without him. Things looked just fine on the surface, but the biggest story of the day came from the players who participated that we certainly did not believe would return -- Xavier Guillory, Elijhah Badger, and Jaden Rashada all participated in positional group workouts. While they didn't participate in team segments, we were still in awe to see them practicing in any capacity. It was a good day with plenty of adapting and pleasant surprises.
