Days of our Lives on the Peacock Network offers a twist in the storyline as Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) has second thoughts about the baby adoption. Sophia, initially scared about the adoption process with Tate Black (Leo Howard), had left her newborn at the safe haven box at a fire station, creating a complex narrative involving her lawyer Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) and a fake adoption scheme. However, spoilers suggest that Sophia may back out from the plan.

DOOL sees that despite her initial panic, Sophia was taken care of medically by Melinda, who empathizes with her situation, having been a pregnant teen herself. The plan was to pretend to give birth in Chicago, with adoptive parents taking the baby straight from the hospital. However, Sophia's fear of getting caught may deter her from pursuing the plan, leading her to a dilemma of confessing her actions to Tate and her mother, Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson).

Days of our Lives sees the adoption scheme also poses a significant chance for Melinda to adopt the baby, as she continues to grieve the loss of her daughter, Haley Chen (Thia Megia). Sophia's interaction with Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), who unknowingly have her baby, might sway her decision about the adoption. The storyline also hints at a potential paternity secret involving Aaron Green (Louis Tomeo), causing speculation among fans.
