The Amnesty International Podcast is a hosted show featuring recent Amnesty International news stories, reports, campaigns and events. This release focuses on the Demand Dignity Campaign and features the Secretary General Irene Khan reading an extract from her newly published book, The Unheard Truth, a report on water access in Israel and the Occupied Territories, and finally Kharunissa Dhala reads from the Sierra Leone Campaign Caravan Blog which toured the country to promote awareness of Maternal Mortality earlier this month.

An interview with Widney Brown Amnesty International Senior Director of Law  Policy on Women's rights. There is also a feature on war crimes witnesses in Croatia and the difficulties they face.

This months podcast includes a report from Salil Shetty, Secretary General Amnesty International from Times Square at the unveiling of the ‘Maternal Mortality Death Clock’. The clock counted the number of women that die unnecessarily during child birth whilst the Millennium Development Goals Summit took place. The podcast also includes a film for Eduardo Campos, Governor of Pernambuco state in Brazil whilst he decides the fate of 53 families in Sirinhaém in the coming weeks. And finally, an update about the latest Amnesty International Report on Unlawful Detention and Torture in Iraq.
