Proverbs 27:12

Direction determines destination.

Heavenly Father, help me to see trouble coming, and give me the wisdom to know what to do, and then give me the courage to do it.

Our problem is not a lack of information.

2 Kings 3:11-12

Proverbs 3:5-7

Direction begins with submission.

Learn to live your life with a God-component in every area of your life.

It begins with absolute, total submission.

3 observations:

Pride eventually overrides wisdom

Arrogance eventually overrides common sense.

Self-importance eventually overrides discernment.

Have I surrendered to God those things that I tend to control?

Why am I so afraid to acknowledge God in the areas where I think I have control?

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

In what ways am I learning to live with a God-component in every single area of my life?

Am I in danger of my pride / arrogance / self-importance leading me down the wrong path?
