Today I got to hang out with Hugh, he is a great guy with a lot of knowledge and experience. We talked about a lot of things, the thing that stuck to my mind was, certificate collectors. People who think they will change their whole life by just passing this course or by learning this new fancy system and then fail and move on to the next shiny idea. What they get wrong is, their focus is on the cert not on the implementation of the learnings. If you never implement you will not improve no matter the amount of knowledge you gain.
