For thousands of years, Christianity has been passed from father to son and from mother to daughter. Pastors have been the ones to actually interpret the Scriptures for people, but without stable family units, Christianity would have fizzled out and died.

Therefore, is this essential part of Christian life the only thing that makes us Christian? Is there anything more we need to do to be considered followers of Christ?
