It's a Romantic scene, all the girls swoon and he gets the girl back. But the truth is - its bogus. Your spouse does NOT complete you. They compliment you. You are a complete person in Christ before and after you get married. If you don’t think you are, then you should not have gotten married. But if you did, then you need to figure out your identity in Christ. A more realistic quote about marriage comes from John Candy, talking to his Jamaican bobsled team about the Olympics in Cool Runnings: "A gold medal is a wonderful thing, but if you're not enough without the medal, you'll never be enough with it."
