A serendipitous meeting during a 2013 shopping trip in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, brought Mary Jo Rulffes together with ACDRA, after she worked with them to rescue a cattle dog in need. Not only were they able to rescue the dog, but Rulffes ended up adopting her — and soon became president of ACDRA.
