He taught rhetoric, persuasion, TV writing, screenwriting, and communication studies at the university level for almost two decades. Dan taught a wide range of courses in his field. Eventually leaving academia, he still writes and teaches about all things communication; It’s his obsession. Also a standup comedian for thirty+ years, Dan also uses his chops as a pro comedy writer (having written for late night TV — such as The Late Late Show on CBS, and many others).
