Today my guest is Dr. Justin Ross. Dr. Ross is a clinical psychologist by trade and has his own practice, Mind Body Health Clinic in Denver Colorado. He works with everyday professionals working on anxiety, stress, you name it and also has a specific focus on performance and works with athletes and teams up to the professional level. He has a wealth of knowledge and we really dive into the first principles and framework behind a lot of the mechanics of leadership and performance. You’ll hear us talk about alignment and the importance of organizations and teams having a singular common goal to aim for, how coaches and captains can facilitate better communication on and off the field, why implementing or fabricating one big event, meeting, or experience and thinking that will fix your problems as team is problematic, how to bring conflict to the surface if it’s hiding, and what the three most important character traits are to work on if your leader. It was awesome chatting with Dr. Ross especially in these crazy stay at home times so please enjoy wherever you are on another episode of The Captains Coach Podcast.
