Description:
Think back to when you were a kid, running around, exploring, playing with your friends, just 5 years old when you get attacked in the face by a dog. A traumatic event, no doubt, but one that fundamentally shapes your future. For most kids, this event would leave them traumatized, scared of dogs and afraid of hospitals, but not you. No, instead you use the experience to fuel you, to drive you, to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon specializing in extended head and neck esthetic and microvascular reconstruction giving back to anyone who to may have the same experience of a jarring accident to the face. Well, meet today’s guest. Today, I could not be more excited to share my interview with Dr. Todd Hanna, MD, DDS. Dr. Hanna is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who completed dental school at NYU and medical school and residency in Alabama. From a young age, Dr. Hanna was fixated on giving back to patients who he can personally relate too. In this episode we dive deep discussing Dr. Hanna’s path to medicine, what fueled him throughout the years, how he stayed committed to becoming a surgeon from a young age, what advice he gives students who either know or do not know what they want to do in their life, and why he is committed to keeping himself mentally sharp and physically fit.
