Jesus tells Nicodemus we must be born again to be followers of Christ. In chapters 3 and 4 of 1John, John tells us to love one another, as this is one of the two greatest commandments. But when we love sin and affirm sin, we break the first commandment, which is to love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and body. You cannot serve man and God, and if you say or think you can, then you deceive yourself.
