Alicia left Maubeuge, France at age 18 and has been dancing all day, everyday, ever since. She arrived at Carolina Ballet in 2006, became soloist in 2010, and has been learning the role of ballet mistress. Alicia has enjoyed a longer career than many, and elaborates on the role of mental strength, persistence, and friendships necessary to survive the injuries, anxiety and competition of this demanding profession. Beneath the glitter and tutus, she is a friendly, small-town, hard working girl who happily calls Raleigh home.
