Shann has journeyed from the rural town of her childhood to over 30 countries, riding 3rd class trains, staying in hostels and backpacking with her husband through Asia and the Americas. Her compassion led her first to a career in social work then to NCSU veterinarian school. She now runs a mobile vet business out of her Toyota Corolla performing everything from check-ups and minor procedures to pet acupuncture.
