I’d like to begin this episode by acknowledging the land that I am learning and living on is the traditional un-ceded, un-surrendered territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg People.
Concussions happen.
They keep happening, and while modern science has come a long way to understand how and when concussions happen, there is still a stigma that comes with people who have suffered concussions.
And so, in this episode, you’ll hear from Kalley Armstrong, a PhD Student and a former hockey player for Harvard University and Brendan Hynes , a Canadian Army veteran, concussion advocate and entrepreneur, who will talk about their concussion stories, the stigma that comes with concussions, and how we can all help raise awareness of concussion safety and knowledge.
