We got a great episode to start the weekend off right. Eddie Gill is a “bring your lunch pale” type player who earned everything that he got. We are thrilled to have The Thrill himself on the show today. He is somebody who refused to be outworked throughout his career and hearing his story will be an inspiring one especially for our younger listeners.
Gill started his career going the Junior College route before finishing his last two seasons at Weber State. He was the floor general on the Weber State team that has one of the more memorable upsets against a great North Carolina team in first round. After going undrafted, Gill had to outwork and do the little things that most players don’t want to do in order to find his way in the NBA. We got to hear all about the hard work and dedication put in to make a successful 12 year professional career including 7 seasons in the NBA.
We loved learning more about Gill’s journey. It was fun taking a ride down memory lane and talking about his High School and AAU experience, the unforgettable upset against North Carolina, his journey to the NBA, his memories from Malice at the Palace, winning the Belgium Cup, and much more! We can’t thank Eddie enough for being so gracious with his time and all of the wonderful insight shared in this one.
Thank you Eddie Gill!
