EE 142: Fixating on Others Ensures Failure

What's up guys, my name is Greg Anderson, and after spending a decade in the Special Operations/Para-Military community and 14 overseas deployments, I pursued a new career in Law Enforcement with the interest in putting the deployment lifestyle behind me.

In light of so many events in 2020 regarding law enforcement I decided to speak up on the behalf of the profession and it ultimately cost me my job, but because of this I’ve taken my life in a new direction and one of my pursuits is launching this podcast!

The Endless Endeavor Podcasts was created with the understanding that life is a continuous and arduous journey. I’ve learned that the only way I can grow and develop as a human is maintaining an understanding that there is always a lot to learn and preserve a curiosity across a wide spectrum of interests. 

Through this journey of life I have had the honor to walk amongst giants and look forward to bringing our listeners quality content on a variety of topics.

We will be delving into military operations, jiu jitsu and martial arts, liberty and freedom, tactical proficiency, health and wellness, overcoming depression and PTSD, leadership and team dynamics, parenting, law enforcement and so much more.

In Episode 199 I sit down with Semi Bird! I really loved this short episode getting to know Semi. We’ve already agreed we need 10 more hours together and I’m happy to oblige, so this is being released as part 1! EE 198: Another Round of Informed but Not Consumed!

In Episode 197 I sit down with former Snohomish County Sheriff Adam Fortney. I’ve looked forward to this episode for quite some time because I believe Adam’s leadership and common-sense approach as sheriff may have dramatically changed the trajectory of my life. He refused to enforce COVID lockdown measures in the county which I live and operate my business. In a time where many small business owners ended up in handcuffs, that wasn’t happening here in Snohomish County, and I want to thank him again for choosing the hard right over the easy wrong. Showing courage in the face of tyranny will never be forgotten by many of us. When he stood up against the political elite, he painted a target on his back which all ensured they’d make sure his run as sheriff was a short one. He’s a great man and I’m proud to now call him a friend. Both men and women are subjected to an array of different challenges related to their specific customs and livelihoods that ultimately result in them becoming a celebrated and revered member of society, if they successfully complete the tasks laid out for them. I think as Americans we have much to learn by figuring out how to empower our children and encourage them to face challenges in the face of fear and adversity. In Episode 195 we do another solocast! As always, I like to mix it up between guests and solo episodes as it affords me the opportunity to share my thoughts and perspectives with the Endless Endeavor community! Today we take a deep dive into sideline know-it-all parents. We’ve all heard them at our children’s events, and I had to throw one out of my academy for the first time in 10 years! It’s shocking to me that a parent with zero understanding of jiu jitsu or exercise will suddenly become subject matter experts and start berating me like she owns the place! We then tell a couple stories of random fights I found myself in when traveling to 3rd World countries, then wrap up with some healing modalities that have shown tremendous benefits inside of short period of time and that is grounding, red light therapy and methylene blue.
